Full Blooming!

Well, it is that time of year here in Indiana - you know, those few short weeks where flowers are actually blooming before it gets TOO hot and everything is brown and shriveled!
For the gardener that is deep inside me, it is one of my favorite times to live here.
However, these days I have only been able to appreciate my gardens looking out a window in my very climate controlled house because it is manufacturing time in this house!


Higher Priorities include:
1. HUGE wholesale order going out to Cincinnati at the end of August. (yeah!!!! / gulp.)
2. Inventory for Terre Haute Block Party Art Festival at the end of August.
3. Inventory for Hot Glue Gun Girls Weekend in Corydon, IN in the beginning of September.

So, for now enjoy my full blooming garden and my growing pile of my "Full Blooms"!

Well, the time has come.
The U-haul comes tomorrow and we are packing up
for the "show-apocalypse"(my husbands term ).
Of course I am looking at my inventory the night before it needs to be packed
in a gorgeous brown box and am thinking to myself....
"why did i do that in those colors?"
"that would look better in black."
"is anyone going to get it...maybe."
Happens every show- the "i hate everything i make" idea.
But, maybe no one else will hate it.

The Clock is Ticking....tick, tock, tick

Well, the end is near.
Or, should I say the beginning is near....I hope.
We are gearing up for the Indiana Artisan Marketplace Show is Indianapolis, IN - April 16-17,2011!
If you do not already know about the Indiana Artisan program, be ashamed.
Really ashamed...Joking.
This program is really developing into a great guild of Indiana artists (us!!!) and food crafters who have all juried in by different panels to this, what I think , is a pretty prestigious group.

I have tried to stay motivated.
Started off REALLY well, and well, my gusto is dwindling (production wise at least).
For Spring 2011, I have a new line that I have been working on, "The Speedwell Collection".
Speedwell you ask?
Yes, Speedwell is the Shetland Ram's name that this entire collection is based around.
He is a fabulous sheep that graciously ( sort of ) lent me his fleece to create wonderful pieces of art with. Such as this one, which you will find at the show next week!
Well, I need to get busy, at something!

Spring Has Sprung...finally.

I think that the snow is officially gone...for good this time.

Lots of things are happening around these parts of the Midwest...

I just sold my house and will officially be a "city girl" for the first time in 25 years...
we will have to see how that goes!

We will be debuting our jewelry line at a new gift shop in town next week at our first trunk show...more details to come!
